Applications of IoT in Daily Life

Applications of IoT

1. Smart Washing Machines

Washing machines can now be controlled from your phone and allow you to program when to wash your clothes, even if you are at the office. According to Samsung, some models alert you on the phone if the soil level of the clothes is high, and then recommend a different washing cycle to improve the cleaning process.

2. Smart TVs

Smart TVs are one of the best examples of IoT devices at home. Currently, TVs have wifi integrated and allow you to connect to the internet, you can even share videos, pics, or the screen of your phone. You can speak to it and ask for specific videos you want to watch.

3. Smart ACs

An air conditioner is also an IoT device if it is a “smart” AC model that connects to the internet to allow remote monitoring and control via a mobile app or other devices. Smart ACs add capabilities like scheduling, energy monitoring, voice control, and integration with other smart home devices.

4. Smart Refrigerator

Smart refrigerator is an Internet of Things (IoT) device because it uses sensors and internet connectivity to monitor and control its functions, exchange data with other devices, and provide services to users, such as remote temperature adjustment, inventory management, and notifications. It combines traditional refrigeration with advanced technology to offer enhanced features beyond simple cooling.

5. Smart FAN

Smart fan is an Internet of Things (IoT) device because it is an internet-connected physical device that can collect and exchange data, allowing it to communicate with other smart devices, receive commands from smartphone apps or voice assistants (like Alexa or Google Assistant), and operate remotely. This connectivity provides enhanced control, automation, and convenience for the user.

6. Smart Pet Tracker

Smart Pet Tracker is a type of Internet of Things (IoT) device. It often in the form of a wearable collar that uses GPS, cellular, and other wireless technologies to track a pet’s location and send data to a user’s mobile app. It providing peace of mind and helping owners locate lost pets.

7. Robot Vacuum Cleaners

A robot vacuum cleaner is an autonomous vacuum cleaner which has a limited vacuum floor cleaning system. It combined with sensors and robotic drives with programmable controllers and cleaning routines. Early designs included manual operation via remote control and a “self-drive” mode which allowed the machine to clean autonomously.

8. Smart toothbrush

Smart toothbrushes are one of the most significant IoT device. The primary benefit of a smart toothbrush is data collection. This device would connect to an app on the phone and show the user when a specific area of the mouth is clean.

Also, the app shows the users when they need to brush their teeth or when to change the head of the product for a new one.
