Big Data

Big Data is among the hottest trends in IT right now, and Hadoop stands at front and center in the discussion of how to implement a big data strategy. Doug Cutting’s gave this Hadoop name to his son’s toy elephant. Later on be used this name for his open source project.

The term ‘big data’ is a relatively new IT industry term dealing with multitude of this amount of data. Big data refers to technologies and initiatives that involve data that is too diverse, fast-changing or massive for conventional technologies, skills and infra-structure to address efficiently.
